When you book your wedding at The Crooked Lake House, you don't just get a venue — you get a complete wedding planning team. Your dedicated Event Planner begins working with you approximately one year before your wedding day, guiding you through every decision so nothing falls through the cracks.
Your wedding coordination services include:
• Comprehensive wedding consultation and venue tour
• Menu and timeline design tailored to your vision
• Ballroom seating chart and linen selection guidance
• Wedding cake planning — ordering, delivery coordination, and placement
• Vendor coordination: photographer, florist, DJ, officiant, and more
• On-site Thursday evening rehearsal (subject to availability)
• Full day-of execution by your planner and our experienced venue team
• Post-event décor pickup coordination
We also maintain a curated list of Recommended Professionals — local vendors who know our venue and consistently deliver exceptional results for our couples. Area hotel accommodations with motor coach shuttle service are available within 25 minutes, ensuring your out-of-town guests arrive safely and comfortably. The Crooked Lake House proudly serves couples from across the Capital Region, including Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Pittsfield MA, and destination couples traveling from New York City and beyond.
Let’s Make Your Day the Best Ever
We encourage our couples to create their own special event with décor inside and outside the venue! We highly suggest that you hire a florist/ design company if you have more decorating than you can handle.
- Please no nails, tacks or staples used inside our historic venue
- We ask that all personal belongings are removed by the end of the evening
- Couples may schedule a time with their Event Planner for pick-up of décor items
- Vendor and rental deliveries, set-up and break down are to be scheduled with your Event Planner
- All rentals are required to be picked up the morning after the wedding
Although Old Daley on Crooked Lake does not include lodging, we have a list of recommended hotels, Airbnb options and rental homes all within a 25 minute drive to our venue! Many area hotels offer motor coach shuttling for your guests! Please inquire with our Director of Sales for our list of Recommended Professionals.
The Role of Your Event Planner
Your event planner will begin assisting you approximately one year prior to your wedding day covering a variety of areas including….
- Advisement of package and menu selection
- Wedding day timeline development
- Ballroom seating, table linen choices, wedding cake planning (assistance with flavors and cake style selection, ordering and arrangement of delivery, placement of any additional day-of décor)
- Ordering oversight of specific items that will be needed and/or requested for your wedding day
- Coordination with your vendors and our dedicated venue team for proper preparation
- Set up and implementation on your day
- On-site ceremony coordination
- “Tour guide” for you, your wedding party and guests on your very special day
Our venue team will work very closely with your Event Planner to assure your event is seamless. There is so much more to day-of coordination than most realize!
